Rajasthan Government Subsidy and Credit Schemes for Businesses
RIPS, CGTMSE, Mudra and other central and state schemes can lower the cost of setting up or expanding a business. Agar & Co. helps you check eligibility, prepare the documents and follow the application through.
How we help
Schemes differ in eligibility, timelines and paperwork, and an application that is incomplete or wrongly framed can be delayed or rejected. Our team supports you at each stage:
- Eligibility review – whether your unit, sector, investment and category qualify, and which scheme fits best.
- Project report and financials – detailed project report, projected financial statements and CMA data as the scheme or the lender requires.
- Application and documentation – online applications, certificates and supporting records.
- Follow-up – coordination with the bank or the department, and replies to queries.
- After sanction – claim filings, utilisation and compliance records so that the benefit is not lost on a technicality.
Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS)
RIPS is the State’s main incentive framework for new and expanding investment in manufacturing, services and other eligible sectors. The version notified in 2024 (RIPS 2024) is stated to remain operative until 31 March 2029. The State issues amendments and clarifications by notification, so we check the current notification, including any 2026 update, before we advise on your project.
Depending on the sector, the size of the investment and the category of the unit, the incentives may include:
- a capital subsidy on eligible investment (up to 28% under the scheme);
- reimbursement of SGST for a defined period (up to 75%);
- stamp duty exemption or reimbursement (up to 75%);
- electricity duty and stamp duty benefits for eligible renewable energy projects.
Some sectors carry a minimum investment (for example, warehousing and cold-chain projects from ₹2 crore). Incentives are calculated on eligible investment and are linked to conditions such as commencement of production, employment and continued operation. Applications are made through the State’s designated investment-promotion portal.
CGTMSE: collateral-free credit for micro and small enterprises
The Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) provides a guarantee to banks and other lenders, so that eligible micro and small enterprises can receive credit without collateral or a third-party guarantee. The application is made by the enterprise through its lender, which registers the guarantee.
- Guarantee cover is generally between 75% and 90% of the sanctioned amount, depending on the category of the borrower, for example women entrepreneurs and units in specified areas or categories.
- The maximum guaranteed facility per borrower has been raised over the years. Recent announcements refer to a ceiling of up to ₹10 crore, and the limit that applies to you is confirmed with your lender and on the CGTMSE website.
- A one-time guarantee fee and an annual guarantee fee are charged, on a slab that depends on the amount.
Mudra loans (Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana)
Mudra loans finance small non-farm businesses such as shops, small manufacturing units, service providers and traders. They are offered by banks, regional rural banks and other financial institutions, and no collateral is taken on eligible loans.
| Category | Loan size |
|---|---|
| Shishu | Up to ₹50,000 |
| Kishore | ₹50,001 to ₹5 lakh |
| Tarun | ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh |
| Tarun Plus | ₹10 lakh to ₹20 lakh (for borrowers with a good repayment record on an earlier Tarun loan) |
The interest rate and other terms are set by the lender. Applications can be made at a bank branch or through the government’s online loan-support portals.
PMEGP: credit-linked subsidy for new enterprises
The Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) offers a credit-linked margin-money subsidy to individuals and eligible institutions setting up new manufacturing or service units. The subsidy is generally in the range of 15% to 35% of the project cost, depending on the category of the applicant and whether the unit is in a rural or an urban area. The project is financed by a bank, the applicant contributes a small share, and the scheme is implemented through KVIC, the State Khadi and Village Industries Board and the District Industries Centres. Maximum project costs differ for manufacturing and service units.
Solar: PM Surya Ghar rooftop subsidy
Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, households installing rooftop solar with an eligible vendor can receive a central financial assistance, which was announced at ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW, up to a maximum of ₹78,000 for systems of up to 3 kW. The subsidy is released after installation and commissioning under the scheme’s process. Where finance is needed, see our loan services, which include solar loans.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a “RIPS 2026”?
The Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme notified in 2024 (RIPS 2024) is the scheme framework we work with. Schemes can be amended or replaced by notification, so we confirm the current version, including any 2026 amendment, before we advise on your project.
Can you guarantee that my subsidy or loan will be sanctioned?
No. Sanction is decided by the government department or the lender on the basis of the scheme rules and their assessment. We prepare a complete, accurate application and follow it through, but we cannot promise an outcome.
Do I need Udyam registration to apply?
For most MSME-linked schemes, including CGTMSE-backed loans and many state incentives, Udyam registration is expected. See Udyam registration in Jaipur.
Do you work with businesses outside Jaipur?
Yes. Documentation and project reports are prepared online, so we work with projects across Rajasthan and beyond.
Government schemes, eligibility, subsidy rates, limits and application windows are notified by the respective authorities and change from time to time. This page is a general summary prepared for information; it is not an assurance that a subsidy or loan will be sanctioned. Please verify the current notification on the official website, and speak to us so that we can confirm the position for your project before you apply.
